Marples Gears is advancing with the technologies of today's modern CNC machining equipment.  in the last 4 years, Marples has spent nearly half a million dollars and invested in 4 new CNC machining centers to further provide our customers with the highest quality parts and faster lead times. 

          Marples CNC turning department consists of 4 CNC Lathes.  2 are Daewoo 2000SY's, a larger 6 axis lathe.  The machine has a fully programmable sub-spindle, with 12 stations of live milling and a Y axis.  This machine will even machine AGMA class 10 gears.  The machines are very accurate, have repeatability of less than .0001 inches on diameter.  Our Miyano live tool lathe, a BND-42c5, is also an extremely accurate piece, also accurate to less than .0001 inch diameter.  This machine has 6 stations of live milling and a programmable tailstock.  It is an excellent machine for small parts.  Our last lathe is a Miyano BNC-42c3.  It is a smaller 2 axis machine, also excellent for small parts.

          Marples CNC milling department consists of 3 CNC milling centers.  2 8000 RPM Daewoo 3016 vertical mills, and a Kira Horizontal milling center.  The Daewoo 3016L and Daewoo 3016D are accurate mills, able to hold true positions to less than .0005 inches.  Our Daewoo 3016L Is a linear guide machine, with rapid traverse rates over 1000 inches per minute.  It has an arm type tool changer, with cut to cut tool change times of about 4 seconds, and a tool carousal that holds 30 tools.  The Daewoo 3016D is a box way machine, and has a full fourth axis.  it has a 20 tool umbrella type tool changer.  Our Kira horizontal is an 8000 RPM machine, with a forth axis indexing tombstone.  It has a 20 Tool capacity.
