Marples Gears is a small, fast paced, ultra precision gear and CNC machine shop. We manufacture fine pitch precision gears and related components for use in aerospace, space, medical, and instrumentation applications. We routinely machine parts with tolerances as low as .0002. Our 8 pieces of CNC equipment are all Fanuc controlled, and reasonably new. We use the finest of cutting tools. We have 3 Daewoo 6-axis lathes with sub-spindles, 2 Miyano lathes, 2 Daewoo Vertical Milling Centers, and one Daewoo lynx lathe.

QC INSPECTOR

Marples Gears is a small, fast paced, ultra precision gear and CNC machine shop. We are AS9100B, ISO 9001:2000 certified and ITAR registered. We are located in San Gabriel, just off the 10 freeway's Garfield exit. manufacture fine pitch precision gears and related components for use in aerospace, space, medical, and instrumentation applications. We routinely machine parts with tolerances as low as .0002, and on occasion, as close as .0001 tolerance. We have two 40 hour shifts a week. Day shift is 6:00 am to 3:00 pm M-Thurs and 6:00am to noon on Fridays. Night shift is 3:00 pm to 12:15 am M-Thurs and noon to 6:00 pm on Fridays. Occasional overtime on Saturday may be available.

Inspector - NIGHT SHIFT

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have EXCELLENT English speaking, reading, and writing skills and have the ability to clearly communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instruction.

· Have at least 5 years experience of inspection experience, preferably in an aerospace facility.

· Must be capable of efficiently performing in process, and final inspections on machined components with high accuracy.

· Have experience calibrating shop gauges and tools.

· Must be able to use common shop measuring equipment.

· Must be able to read, interpret, and work from engineering prints, drawings, and sketches.

· Have good computer skills.

· Have excellent math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry).

· Be able inspect and be responsible for the quality of your own work.

· Must be a team player with a good attitude.

· Be flexible and multi-tasking.

· A sense of humor is appreciated

· ISO9000 or AS9100 experience a plus.

· Gear cutting and inspection knowledge is a plus, but not required.

CNC Live tool Lathe Machinist - night shift

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for CNC Machinists capable of programming, setup, and running production on our Fanuc controlled CNC lathes and mills. We have day and night shift openings.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have EXCELLENT English speaking, reading, and writing skills and have the ability to clearly communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instruction.

· Have a minimum of 5 years experience on CNC Turning centers

· Must be capable of efficiently setting up and programming our FANUC controlled 2,3, and 6 axis CNC turning centers, and running of production of parts on equipment.

· Must be capable of creating and editing programs as needed.

· Must be able to use common shop measuring equipment.

· Must be able to read, interpret, and work from engineering prints, drawings, and sketches.

· Have basic computer skills.

· Have excellent math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry)

· Be able inspect and be responsible for the quality of your own work.

· Must be a team player.

· Be flexible and multi-tasking.

· A sense of humor is appreciated

· Knowledge of gear machining equipment setup a plus, but not required.

· ISO9000 or AS9100 experience a plus.

· Experience on Live milling Lathes a plus.

· Gear cutting and inspection knowledge is a plus, but not required
