Marples Gears, Inc. was established in 1942 to supply the aircraft and instrument industry with a source for precision gear manufacturing and gear cutting.

We specialize in high-precision fine-pitch gears for our customers that require precise movement and positioning. Our gear cutting capabilities include 12 DP to 200 DP and metric pitches of .3 MOD to 2 MOD. We can manufacture gears complete, or we can cut teeth on your customer furnished blanks. Design assistance is available when needed, to perfect gear requirements.  We can cut gears up to AGMA Quality 13 and are able to cut spur, helical, worm and internal gears as well as serrations, splines, pulleys, and sprockets.

Our CNC machining capabilities include CNC turning and milling with our 2, 3, and 6 axis lathes and our 3 and 4 axis vertical and horizontal milling centers.

Our Quality Control Department ensures that all phases of production are in full compliance with the customer’s blueprints and specifications. Our inspection system meets the requirements of MIL-I-45208 and MIL-STD-45662.
